Quick question about Spark Plugs
HEy guys I have been running the Greddy ISO 8 plugs, they seem to work well but after 10,000 miles or so they start to look beat up, and I don't like spending $85.00 a pop so I am looking for an alternative
I have done some research and looks like NGK BKR8EIX might be a comparable plug for half the price. One step colder and Iridium.
I am little hesitant because I tried an NGK plug before NGK stock number 7173 V-racing copper plugs I guess--------> http://www.sparkplugs.com/more_info.asp?AAIA=&pid=3252 and my car ran like shit so I bought the Greddy plugs again, anyway I am going to go with
NGK IX IRIDIUM stock number 2668, anyway this seem ok, and do I need to gap them (IRIDIUM so I would imagine no?)

Joey those NGK iridiums will work perfect. I also use those 7173's in my car ( in there at the moment ) and it runs well. It does appear that they are fouling out quickly and i am going to move to the iridiums for a little hotter plug, and better off boost performance.

great, thanks yeah the other NGK I was using were copper maybe thats why it misfired etc, I like the Greddy's but 85 bones for spark plugs is rediculous
the gapping they come with should be fine right?

I have the NGK iridiums in my car as well. Tony recommended to swap them every oil change since they wear out faster because they don't get hot enough to clean themselves like a hotter plug would do. They are only about $35 a set

FI and running greddy plugs.
Are you running the Greddy ULT.
My ULT did not like the copper v plugs since they are non resistor.
The electrical interference was causing all sorts of problems. Namely random miss fires and very big fire balls out the exhaust

nice, yeah I wonder with my METH if it helps or hurts the plugs due to the cooling effect
