I would just use the 1jz since you are familiar with it (also cheaper). I thinks its a great motor that holds power very well and will give you the lack of torque the f20 has. Good luck on your project
If it were me though and I had the fab knowledge... Id swap in an LS3 with a t56 and a 03-04 cobra rear

I just have to wait a few weeks have a winter car and then sell the F20C I think I will sell it cheap so it goes fast.
it has Ap2 retainers and keepers, valve adjustment, new valve cover gasket resurfaced flywheel new cltuch It has 98K on it runs awesome, 2100.00 for the motor.

It has been done but man this is crazy. I saw one on YouTube. That thing was a monster ! Like I said a local guy here was boosted and almost reached the 600hp but said it was just to much work to pull over that without breaking somthing fast. so he sold his motor and is going 2jz last time I spoke to him he had the motor mounted and was working on the harness..

Yeah it will be worth it, Plus I deal with 1jz's and 2jz all the time. Great motors, I will still go to tail of the Dragon as well with the car. Though I think I am going to buy another Stock S for more track stuff.

I hope that you don't think you are the first person or even the 20th to do this. They have been dropping 800+ whp 2jz's in the s2000 for over 5 years now.
