No the allen that holds the center cam gear right at the edge of the valve cover, this one here:

That is the access port used to remove the pin for installation of the TCT, peeking through there gives a limited view of what's going on but could be useful I suppose. Not sure why else it's brought up than that point.

He's talking about the one that holds the center cam gear. The one you are talking about (and the one I thought he was talking about) is the one closer to the TCT itself.

Ah ok, I recall the bolt when I installed my head and cam gears etc, it's got a washer that's easy to drop! Careful folks.

that deff sounds like a fcked bearing or some bottom end problem.....for sure its not the chain

i read you other replys to this post about the noise and it really sounds like u have bad rod or piston slap

I really hope not. I'm picking up a stock tensioner in the next couple of dsys to see where that takes me.

Yep, I was thinking piston slap due to a cracked piston skirt but he says it gets worse with temp, those things usually are worse at cold but...I've seen exceptions.
