Ring gap on stock block

So I had my f22 blow a ring and I have a spare f20 I'm going to drop in a friend seems to think I need to gap my rings I'm going for 500 whp but I'm not going to push over 19lbs so where ever I land with only pushing max 19lbs is where I land my bottom end is completely stock do I need to gap my rings is the question

I’m at 135,000 miles on the stock f20 block and at 588whp and been turbo since 70,000 miles. I think your fine with the stock block.

With no extra ring gap correct?

The OEM pistons are made of a very special alloy

For every "my block is stock and its fine" there is a trashed block out there.
last customer block I tore down after it was boosted, the rings fell into several peices because ends touched.

oem spec is stupid tight. Personally, I would double the gap on an oem rebuild. Blow by wont be an issue.

For reference, the last f24 i built for 800hp I used CP pistons with a gap of .022" top and .028" second

top ring gap has a service limit up to .024 inches anyway
