For guys experiencing belt slip or the fear of it, check out my post on the added idler pulley. It uses Honda parts and provides significantly more wrap on the upper pulley.

I plan to go with a 3.4" pulley with my Novi1200 blower. Should I be concerned with belt slip and perhaps get a idler pulley as a preventative measure?

I never had any belt slip with my 1220 and a 3.4 pulley. When I upgraded to the 1200, I added the idler as a preventative measure since it was all off and never had an issue. The 1200 will naturally take more to spin, but you shouldn't have an issue. Just remember...it never hurts to over do it but it always does to under do it.

I have experienced many years of outstanding customer service with SOS. I suggest that you take up the advice given by JUSTINTHECOASTIE and call them. This is the contact information from my computer's Outlook file. FYI, The LLC in the company name indicates that it is a private limited liability company in the USA.

I need to purchase the larger Racing Heat Exchanger from SOS as I will be running a 3.4" pulley and was wondering if the new heatexchanger will come with a larger water pump? If not, what water pump should I be looking to purchase (manufacture, model, etc.) and from where? It's for a 2006 ap2. Thanks!

Most people run the Bosch Cobra water pump: http://www.siliconeintakes.com/liquid-air-adapter/water-to-air-pump-0392022002-p-1001.html?osCsid=ae33889fa464d40a7d82794ca44c259d

SOS only offers one water pump, regardless of which HX you get from them. As mentioned, a lot of people run the Cobra pump. I opted to retain the Johnson Control pump that came with my SOS kit. I can't recall off the top of my head what the specs or flow rate are right now, but I think the Cobra unit does flow more which may or may not be a good thing as one needs to consider the "dwell" time. In short, I think either pump will be fine.

Thank you for the response. Does the SOS kit come with the water pump or this something I need to purchase seperately?

I don't see an option to purchase the pump from SOS directly which is why I am trying to figure out if its already included as part of the SC kit or Heat Exchanger.

I have the Bosch Cobra and have not seen any improvement whatsoever in my AIT since installing it.
