SOS TS Max Turbo Kit GT3582r Build

3 Attachment(s)
3 weeks ago I received my kit, chose the GT3582r option. All items where packaged professionally,
none of the items where damaged and no errors on the order.

The Car
MY 2007 (AP2) with 42k miles(naturally aspirated/stock block). Last dyno was 240whp on a dynojet, tuned with Flashpro on 91oct. Last mod after that was a 4.77 diff. I've like this car in its NA form very much, but always wanted to make a move to FI. But reliability and extensive modifications where a concern. When the Greddy kit was released I was interested, but when seeing the results I was somewhat disappointed with the general results and opinions on the kit(whp numbers)
Years later, (past august) I see an ad of a new SOS turbo kit and immediately became interested. I've been a client in the past (sport clutch/flywheel kit), and trust their knowledge and work. Also seeing that this kit was made for mild power/reliability/no extensive mods, I decided to take it. Kit arrived early october. Every detail of the kit is well designed, no issues or modifying steps on the original instructions.

First drive
Everything's going great , then I began to hear like a metal grinding sound every time I made a hard turn left. After a couple days we figured out that my Greddy spectrum elite dual exhaust was making contact. Its in the resonator area just before the split. Talked to Chris at SOS about it and he recommended to play with the adjustment on the Turbo manifold flange. Right now this is pending, I did a workaround to fix the noise in the exhaust. Besides this I haven't had any issues with anything else.

Dyno Time
Removed 4.77 diff on Friday, went to the dynojet yesterday, my tuner began working on the car and we got 315whp@8psi on 91oct. Since I don't have a boost controller, we manually did a T bleeder to add a little more. We got over 400whp@13-14psi but not with stable boost. As you can see in the graph there is some boost lost when it begins to fall a bit in power. One thing for sure there wasn't an inexplicable power loss up top. We also recorded some datalogs and we didn't found knock problems. Air fuel curve is very steady.

We are planning a second dyno visit but with a 15psi wastegate spring. So we could have a steady boost curve. I don't plan on going greater than 15psi for now. Car feels great on the street, coming from 240

I will be adding more pictures of the install in the coming days.

Congrats! Can you post a more typical dyno sheet? With trq, hp, afr, boost curve, all along with rpm and not mph?

Interested in a dyno with rpms also.

Yea, I was gonna ask when do you hit full boost at? More resolution + torque curve would be great as well.

Thanks for your review!

Thank you for your feedback! A boost controller would be highly recommended, rather than increasing wastegate actuator pressure. This is less expensive, boost curve will be consistent, and result will be more reliable:

What's wrong with the dyno sheet? Why is it a straight like all over 400whp for the majority of the pull? Isent that impossible?

Congrats..very nice kit! The power curve is super flat he has +o- 400whp from 72-104 mph in 4th with pump gas! Great spool-up for a gt35..
