Going on my 3rd transmission now, first trans blew second and this one first. How are you guys keeping the stock trans alive? I was running redline heavy shock proof this time, must be my driving habits.

So far my stock trans has been good. I use honda mtf and change it out every 3rd engine oil change or so. Also no hard launches.
Driving wise I've only been doing 2nd or 3rd gear pulls on the freeway, however nowadays I've been doing rolling first gear starts...ill prob be in the same boat as you soon

I must say I ran it hard street and track. Burn outs and many hard launches, with 8.8 kit the trans is the next weak link. A hardtop, t56 along with a bigger turbo will be my next big upgrades. Going to put ap1 trans in for now, Going to have to change my driving habits for a while.

What turbo will you get mate? You have the most amazing car mate and I feel anything you suggest is the best option for our car.
Good stuff!

Some more updates going on got a hardtop with glass window, installed the twin disk clutch and a ap1 trans, and new intercooler piping 3” cold side and the 2.5 hot side was modified to fit around the oil cooler thermostat. Have to rebuild or replace the turbo next, still debating on what to do.

Car has been down for a little over a month now getting a few new upgrades. I sold my radiator to a friend in need, so I ordered a dual pass cfs radiator they made with rockstar garage. I was adding oil cooler thermostat and replacing the an fittings with better quality fittings. While doing that I also picked up a mocal oil cooler to replace my cheap eBay unit. I was having a vary hard time deciding on what to do with my blown turbo just rebuild it? Or replace it? I ended up picking up a used 6467 jb comp turbo for really cheap. I was going to run it but the down pipe had to be modified, so i said if I’m going to modify the down pipe I’m getting the turbo I want. Pulled the trigger on a brand new 6466 bb turbo from pte. Car should be up and running in a few weeks dropped off down pipe and turbo housing for 2000 degree coating today. So hopefully next week can start with the final assembly, unfortunately the new intercooler piping I just made won’t work with my new radiator. The lines are moved to side and the intercooler pipe is right on the lower coolant hose.
