Default such thing? self lubricating turbos

noob ?

not planning on anything for the moment, just curious if they make a "self lubricating turbo"

be sweet if someone would make a "internal wastegate-self lubriating turbo"
if theres one, can someone send me a link.

Thanks

Yeah, it's called a centrifugal supercharger.

no tapping, no drilled oil pan,
every once in-awhile change the oil or lube from the turbo wtf

Stop wasting your time, it's a horrible idea if i've ever heard one. With temps my turbo get's I can't imagine stagnant oil lasting very long at all, and definitively not for a good price.

You should be looking into a quick and easy solution to Vmount our cars.

With today's water cooled cartriges, ceramic bearings and lubrication technology this could definatly be a possibility.

the real challenge to this would be where you would put the pump, resevoir and the cooler + the lines.

While I may be talking out of my ahole, it seems to me that it would be a good idea to have a separate oil supply to a turbo. I can see some benefits (don't know enough about motors to see drawbacks...)

If there is an oil leak, then engine won't blow due to oil starvation.

Could have oil in a seperate 2-3 quart reservoir with a built in cooler to feed it.

Oil changes would be done more often on the seperate reservoir, while motor oil can be changed at regular intervals.

Just a thought.

They do exist - don't think any are in the market yet though.

check out Aerochargers, kinda pricey and I believe they only have 2 models. They are variable vane turbos that also require no external oil or coolant lines.
