Default supercharged exhaust necessety

Ok guys I am vortech supercharged and I have stock exhaust. I am not to big on the noise that exhaust makes it gets kind of annoying after a while, anyway I was under the impression that exhaust adds max 5hp, but I was reading the BRP post with the dyno #s and it said "FYI we could only get 290 rwhp with stock exhaust", and with there prototype exhaust they got 314 rwhp. If I add an exhaust will I get gaings like that, or does it have to do with the BRP kit being a roots type blower?

Thanks, Jesse P

Is that peak power? I'm sure you'll see around 20 hp if you go with a good exhaust. If you go with a custom 3" single with a quieter muffler you can have your cake and eat it too.

The "5 hp" is probably from the low hp duals like Comptech and HKS.

BTW, how do you like your 4.77s with the charger?

I am always smiling, LOL maybe a tad aggressive however I still really like it. My theory was that my tires were going to reverse it a little bit. 265 35 18

I really don't think you'll get 20hp with the supercharger. Those gains are more likely with a turbo. But someone please prove me wrong if there's proof otherwise.

I think anything that will net you the most gain will noticeably increase the noise too. I think as far as quiet exhausts go, Fujitsubo makes a pretty quiet exhaust. When I was stock I had the HKS and I got it because I read it wasn't too loud. Makes lovely noises, but it does have a bit of a drone around 3K rpm.

But in the end it's your decision whether you want to get 5-10hp for the added noise.

well my car never even sees 3krpm so that wouldnt be a prob, but I feel that I could invest money smarter for HP. But that BHP roots blower dyno graph got me all twisted
