Default Supercharger pulley bolt came off

Somehow the bolt for my comptech novi 1000 pulley came out. I emailed CT engineering and they want $400 for the bolt not including the washer and the woodruff key. I'm told that the bolt shouldn't have just come loose. How can I prevent the bolt from coming loose? Could something else be wrong? The car was running fine before and no signs of anything wrong.

$400?!? That's some SOS pricing right there, lol.

Do you still have the bolt/washer/key? If someone could get me detailed specs I could probably make them up for you, much less than $400.

BTW - CT's 2010 price sheet shows the following prices for the parts you need... a lot less than $400. Who did you talk to at CT? Because if it wasn't Nate, I wouldn't talk to em.

Key 354-100-2 ($5)
Retainer Cap 354-100-3 ($19)
Retainer Bolt 800-8018 ($2.99)

It was a typo. They guy from CT Engineering corrected it in the email. It's $3.99 for the bolt and $12 for the washer.
