Default Switching from 93 to e85

I am going to get a retune. I am currently making 340hp on 93 at 7 psi. I want to switch to e85 and go for 500hp. My current set up is ID1000, aeromotive 340 pump, stock line, stock fpr and stock fuel rail. I have a ilp stage 2 kit with a pte 6262bb turbo, ACT 6 puck and hdpp, and arp head studs with oem head gasket, aem boost controller and wideband. LJ from full blown motorsports did the first tune and I will be going back. He said he did a tune on a s2k and got 500hp on e85 with ID1000's at 90% duty cycle.

Just wondering if any of you see a problem with running +20psi on this setup.

20 psi will not work. You don't want more than 85% duty cycle Imo. Get yourself some 1300 injectors and you should see 500whp. Anything more and your going to have to go 2000 injectors or higher fuel pressure.

I was in the same boat. Getting ready to return my id1300 for id2000 and running a walbro 450 e85 pump. I'm also aiming for 600. But didn't want to have my pressure maxed so no choice but to go bigger injectors. I would definitely get bigger injectors.

You will absolutely need a fuel return setup...I just ran out of fuel on my 06 at just over 400whp (Dynojet) on a stock pump and ID1000's on 93. Just bought the SOS return system myself.

What exactly is unsafe about running a high base fuel pressure?

Well from the info I gathered if I maxed my id1300 out at say 85-90% with a single pump I would be around 500-530whp. This is the reason I'm going to id2000 so it wont Max the pump out. Higher pressure will starve the pump up top I'm told. Now with a dual pump setup I think it would be fine.

Joey was also running 110 octane I believe not E85. I think at 500 you will need a return system on the 06+. The reason I presume they say you don't want to be running more than 85% if you have a random problem with your injectors and it leans out because your running such high duty cycle, you risk the chance of damage.
