Default TH400 to F20c S2000

I have designed a setup to run a TH400 in my s2000. My design eliminates the need for a custom flexplate or converter. It is designed to use standard GM style flexplates and converters, so parts are easy to find. Everything is CNC made.

The factory style flywheel is retained along with the s2000 starter. The adapter setup bolts onto it and then the flywheel is added. With the small diameter the inertia added is not too significant. Also if overall weight is a concern, with a lightweight flywheel the total weight is about the same as a factory AP1 flywheel.

Like your setup, very clean and uses stock parts for the most of the build. My brothers '16 Corvette has the 8L90-E transmission, is that transmission to large to fit the transmission tunnel on a S? It would be nice to have a 8 speed transmission.

I'm not sure to be honest, but I would think you could fit it in there just fine, would just take some extra massaging of the tunnel. I actually didn't have to massage mine at all to fit the TH400 with SFI bellhousing. The only place I needed to clearance wasn't even for clearance issues, it was to fit my fat hands in to put the transcooler fittings on.

That surprises me because the TH400 is not a small transmission, good to hear it fits so easy. Please keep taking and posting pic's of your build, it looks great.
I hope someone on here makes a winter project of getting a 8L45 or 8L90 in a S. It would be so much fun having a S with paddle shifters and 8 speeds.
