i've seen a few on here, i don't know what the key wording for a search for the FI section would be but i'd start with "v-mount intercooler." i remember i did a search a while back and came up with some interesting alternatives to the fmic and the aftercooler setups...

I'd be concerned that the IC wouldn't get the same airflow as being front mounted. I know a lot of the v-mounts are intended to decrease any pressure loss due to longer piping to the fmic, but I'd have to see some empirical data to compare efficiency and post-ic temps to convince me they get better flow.

If you're just doing it for looks, well, do whatever you want, I guess.

I know one thing, here in FL, if I did any city driving, I wouldn't want that IC in my engine bay soaking up all the heat.

Can we get some input on this from anyone who has had a vmount set up? How does it do in city driving?

I know with my FMIC, it's pretty much useless in stop and go traffic.
