Have you tried a Good year Gatorback belt? When I used to run my Vortech i had issues with the smaller pulley slipping. I put one of those Gatorback belts that have teeth on then and it never slipped again. As long as you're not maxing out the impelled speed that is.

Right. Never did I say small belt. Properly sized belt is what I said and use. What headroom when the pulley limits you?

I will say again. You want a longer length belt for more belt wrap around the pulley for most traction. If you go too long you cant tighten enough obviously, running out of adjustment throw, so you go as long as possible before that point.

I prefer Gatorback as the individual teeth to me have more of a bite into the pulley. I never had good results with Gates which is what I originally started out with.

Have you tried the rpm belts by gates? I have the green back gates now and have never gotten belt slip at 400whp+++ @16-18psi and once I do need another belt I will get the rpm version my gates, check it out

So you'll be yielding 1-2 psi more boost. True about the tension.

Never seen the green ones until now. What's the price/availability of those compared to standard black ones?

I'm already yielding appropriate boost for a 6.0 crank pulley and 3.4 supercharger pulley.
