Walbro 450 vs 525

Has anyone compared them dimensionally? Modern Automotive Performance says they are the same - some sites say the 450 is 121mm long while the 525 is 131mm. Will the 525 fit the SoS bracket?

edit - after holding both at the same time they are identical in dimensions.

I just use the oem fuel hanger for my 450 but length shouldn't matter. Just shorten the hose from the pump to the hanger if you need the pump to be further up in the housing.

Damn i recently upgraded to the 450. Wonder what the actual fuel delivery differences are between the two pumps...also brushless pumps are right around the corner too but for my power goals the 525 might be enough.

aeromotive currently makes brushless, but the only one worth getting is $1200...

I too am in the market to upgrade the fuel pump solution as im dropping in a new motor and going for mid 700hp. I'm currently on a 450 running E85. There is a chart somewhere that shows the flow difference. IMO the cost and headache of changing out the pump just isnt worth it. I'm going to go keep my 450 and add on a boost-a-pump, which I would have to do anyway with the 525. Cheapest and easiest solution as long as the wiring is up to the task, which mine is.

Here is an article comparing them:

I am upgrading from a 255 for me spending the extra $32 on the 525 vs the 450 is a no brainer as long as the fitment is the same. Newer tech better output odds are team China hasn’t made a copy yet possibly less of a chance getting a fake.

Funny they call it the 526, when in comparison its really a 470 when compared pressure to pressure.

So 20l/ph more? Like to see a real world test with a 450 on a car and swap for the 470.

Order from a known good vendor and you wont have any issues. IE. NOT amazon or ebay. I get mine from summit racing

I have these. not much more flow than the 450s, but a lot more amp draw. I had to upgrade all my wiring, should have been done the 1st time, but i digress.

these are the exact same size of a 450

Im somehow maxxing my injectors out right now though with 2 470s and id2000's. going to play with base pressure to see if that helps

Hey bud, since you seem to ignore my texts but be active on here, how about you resolve this issue with the damaged intercooler you sent me.
