What size are stock fuel pump fittings
2 Attachment(s)
Hey, I need some help im trying to convert my stock lines to braided lines, and can't seem to find what fittings to use on the stock fuel pump housing. The white push fittings on the top of the pump are what I am talking about. Im tring to figure out what size to use they dont come in metric, they come in 5/16 and 3/8. I dont know if they will work but I think that they should. Anybody done this and remember what size they used or what they used?
Attachment 134031 Im talking about the fitting on the end of #21 and #22 Attachment 134032 I want to use something like this but dont know what size I need. |
I used the following fittings:
Russell -6 male to 3/8" female #640850 Russell -6 AN male to 3/8" male #640940 The plastic insert for #640940 was flimsy, so I recommend you buy the Honda piece and install that instead. |
could u post a write up of your conversion ?
I think there is a lack of info on fuel system upgrades In this forum. Well at least past the usual in tank pump install and injector questions A nice how to replace your fuel lines and what connectors to use would be useful |
The mods I performed was to add a fuel surge tank, as opposed to re-plumbing the fuel lines going to the motor.
For what you're trying to do sounds pretty straight forward once you identify the fittings required on either end. |
I want to run this : http://www.034motorsport.com/fuel-in...k-p-21527.html
And if I can just plumb it up with the fittings above on the end of the OEM line that would be sweet |

ok Ill try to start a writeup Ill complete it tomorrow.
I skipped the part where I installed my injectors and installed my aeromotive 340lp pump there's info on how to do that on this site. My tips are number one is if your using that stock hanger take that dampening black sock that fits around the pump and chuck it, it makes the pump to big to fit in the hanger. The Id2000 injectors are a tight fit in the inline pro rail so lube up the orings on the injectors and the holes in the fuel rail and push them in its gonna take some force. Ok now Im gonna use the stock evap line as my return line to save some money. I'll see if I can get it to work if not I'll do something else. but onto the feed I Brought the fitting that 99SH recommended I wanted black. Attachment 134033 Here it is installed, it has orings inside so lube it up I like spraying my stuff with windex it lubes it and dries away like it was never there. $15.99 Attachment 134034 I will use -6 feed to the Bosch 044 and a -8 outlet will pst those pics tomorrow when I install it. the fuel rail will have a -8 feed and a -6 return Attachment 134035 8 an Straight Cut O-Ring To -6 an Male Flare PRE-77086 Return fitting $8.07 8 an Straight Cut O-Ring To -8 an Male PRE-77088BLK Feed Fitting $9.02 Got my stuff from these guys there local and match there ebay prices in store http://myworld.ebay.com/getfast1?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 I pulled out my evap system and canister and will mount the 044 there will post tomorrow when I finish |
How hard was the removal of the evap ?
Also thanks for the write up. It's always nice to have pics of a future project Side thought, I assume your are going to run E-85 with the size of those injectors. Now my ? Is E-85 won't screw with the OEM plastic fuel pump housing |
Nice a fuel write up, i planned on doing a write up soon. Just gathering fuel things for fbm dual pump setup.
