Default Whats the least expensive reliable way to + 100hp

Doing the math it seems like 100 more HP will put my a stock AP1 in the 4.1 0-60 range. -Please confirm if this is not true

I'd like to get to this range with a reliable system. I am not very mechanical and would probaly have someone install a kit for me.

Obvisously I want something that with proper maitenance will not break. What's my best bet?

About how much should I be prepared to spend for the least expensive but reliable FI systems?

Kit VS Custom components?

Thanks guys!

Most of the SC kits should do it. Sounds like turbo is not for you.

Whats the least expensive reliable way to + 100hp

Wow that is a bit of an oxymoron.

If you go cheap up front you will pay 2,3 or even 10 times more later. I would highly recommend saving your money and doing a lot of research before you take the leap.

A good first step for novice is a Vortech or SOS, but you really need to spend the money on good tuning otherwise you will not make your goals and may not make it to 60mph without unless you are on a tow truck.

Oh, and finally I would never buy anything used unless you know the person that is selling it very well and they will stand behind it. I am sure many can chime in as to how they got the shaft, especially when buying from Ebay.

Good Luck

thank you I know and I realize it's an oxymoron, but figured it would be a great topic....I am not trying to jump right into it and am trying to understand. After doing a bit of research it seems like the custom route may be as reliable as kit and cost less. Thoughts?

Another question: if I go SOS is that so easy that a non mechanical person can install and then bring to a performance shope to tune (althought it seems like they're base kit doesn't need tunning)?
