Default Who here has dropped a valve using supertech?

Having searched the forums, I am beginning to notice quite a few boosted guys dropping valves on their s2000. Supertech seems to stand out the most to me. Just curious who here has dropped a valve on their boosted engines. Please post hp lv, rpm and use of a 2 step. Honestly, if there are companies sending us badly engineered parts, they should go out of business. If not, than could we do something about it? Just think it is ridiculous how a company can design a bad part, and sell it to the public that causes engine damage. I mean, who spends money for a dropped valve right? My engine is getting fully built at the moment, and I already had my machinist put the supertechs in. I'm just not feeling very confident in running big numbers due to so many bad experiences I have read so far about the supertechs.

I forget who, I'll try and dig it up but there is a member on here who dropped a Ferrea valve, it's not something that is exclusive to Supertech.

No matter the brand the valves on our heads are the weak point in the motor. We run Supertech Valvetrain in the Yellow Bullet with over 30+ passes and steet driven no issues.

something else you need to remember is if you do std valve stem size, going to an aftermarket valve isn't really gaining you anything, the stems are the weak point and if you don't get the thicker stems you might as well run stock valves

Precisely why I went with Inline upgraded Valve stems, I got lucky and could have destroyed my motor. I also think I may do away with the two step launch control. Looking at my slips I had better 60fts preloading than I did with the anti lag launch control

Dang, I guess I will just run low power until I can afford the valve stem upgrade.

Not really the power that breaks/bends the valves it's the 2 step. Stay away from it and you'll be fine.

this is not true, think of ferrera who uses a stronger alloy than stock for the valves, the stem will be stronger bc its a better metal, also they will bend and not break, yes the thicker stem is a huge plus, but upgraded valves with the same stem diameter is not a waste by any means

So the consensus here is using the 2 step wrecks aftermarket valves ? Has this been proven or is it purely chance ? I run oem valves in my Integra and 2 step the hell out of it and they are still going strong after 7 seasons of track abuse and street driving .Seeing threads like this scares the piss out of me ! Perhaps im just lucky and should go knock on wood ! Interested in some sceintific reasoning behind this . All the 2 step does is cut fuel . So if you cut fuel there will be no combustion thus no heat .... hmmm . Now as far as Supertech goes my machine shop says stay away from them . They told me the keepers get jammed in the valves when you try to disassemble them . Food for thought i guess .

Well, I had Supertech valves and Two stepped the shit out of my car, lol. I had over 30 passes at the track using it, as well as a few 1,000miles of water meth. I bent two valves, they luckily didnt break. the worst part is the best 60 ft times with the two step were like 1.7-1.8, meanwhile with pre-loading I cut a 1.5 and a ton of 1.6 & 1.7s. I don't think I'm I'm going to run the two step anymore, it did nothing for me on Drag radials except cost me $2,500 in a new head. I will just use a two step Rev limiter and launch it with 0 boost.

Anyone else have success with building boost off a two step with Drag radials? I just couldn't get it to hook

PS Joe Sled 2000

it's the two step where ya cut ignition but not fuel where it combusts outside of the cylinder that creates the heat . the two step that your talking about is just the rev limiter kind (I think anyway).
