Great thread!
Are any of you using Kpro4 with a flex fuel sensor?

Yes they can and you can set up the scaling if your sensor reads one way or the other. I used a zextronic gauge hardwired to my sensor to confirm the percentage content matched what the ecu was seeing.

I also used a gm/haltech sensor and piced together all the AN fittings misc parts to bring the total including the sensor to like $250 and i mounted it the sensor in the same spot as SOS

I'm just getting mine setup and the tuning finished. Pretty cool that the Hondata mobile app now shows ethanol % and fuel temp

Depends on how good your ECU is. Fuel temp influences the flow rate of your injectors and pump. You can lose a lot of flow when the temp goes up. With a good ECU, you could possibly compensate for the loss of flow or turn down the power as required to ensure nothing bad happens.

If you're running E85, it's actually pretty critical you monitor fuel temp. I burnt (literally) my pump because of high fuel temps.

Does Kpro 4 read the fuel temp and adjust for it as well?

It will make anything in between wether I run E40 or e60. No more switching maps or draining tanks of pump gas or e85 to switch fuels.

I have no idel why any anyone would buy the sos kit. I just bought the flex fuel sensor for $90 and you just put it in your fuel return line. I have been running it for years now with no issue.

Here is the sensor
Sensor | Genuine GM | 13577394 : GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts
here is the plug
Harness | Genuine GM | 13352241 : GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts

Did you need to extend the wire for the plug to reach into the ECU? I currently dont have a boost solenoid what do you think I need one? my wastegate spring is set at 15psi right now. I want to push 19 to 20psi on e85

I used the cheaper, smaller sensor from Pace Performance (13577429,13577429 - Fuel Composition (Flex Fuel) Sensor (E85)) and the mating wiring pigtail (13352241 - Flex Fuel (E85) Composition Sensor Harness) and sourced some hose barb fittings from Autozone on the cheap. It wasn't as pretty as the SOS kit but it was a lot cheaper and you can't see it when installed anyway.

To quote from my linked thread:
"All together I have $80 for the sensor and harness plug, $6 for the two adapter fittings, $12 (?) for some 100 psi fuel line, $180 for the Zeintronix ECA gauge, and I didn't pay for the wire from work. So let's call it $300 total. If I had an AEM v2 ECU (or the new Infinity) instead of the Haltech I wouldn't have *needed* the Zeintronix gauge, thus cutting the price by more than half."

Edit - Gotta say thanks again to riceball and all the others who have contributed info on E85, flex fuel, and the Zeintronix/GM sensor setup in the past.
I just ordered those two parts. the fittings I can get from autozone according to your post. Does one need a zeintronix gage? I'll let the ecu figure that out. my wastegate springs is currently set at 15psi. if i want to run 20psi on e85 do I need to purchase a boost controler make that happen? I'll be running both gas 11.5psi on 91 and 20psi on e85.

OP: Are you talking about just the sensor/kit?
I am....

/// After reading about E85 Cold starting "troubles" in certain climates/seasons (winter), I actually figured it was used to manipulate timing and or fuel to help with that. Just my theory though.
