Default will headwork increase my boost?

i upgraded to an ASP 10psi pulley a while back along with an AEM EMS 1052U, RC 750cc injectors, etc. on my CTSC w/ AC...

when i went to an HKS carbon Ti exhaust with 3" custom piping, my boost went up and then again when i installed a test pipe.. now i am at 13psi..

now i am planing on doing some PortFlow headwork and was wondering if the better flow will once again increase my boost? i already have SuperTech titanium valves/retainers and will probably go add an InlinePRo or Cometic gasket while im at it which should lower my boost a bit any way, i just thought id ask...

thanks in advance

No, but it may increase HP. EX- say someone has the same exact set up as you and makes 400 hp with 15psi. then you have the ported head, you might make say 425 hp with 15psi. all theory!

Our head flows very well, and porting the head will give little gains for the money spent. You'd be bettter off using the money on other parts for more performance gains.

How did making the exhaust side more free flowing increase your boost on a supercharged set-up? Generally less restrictions mean better flowing and actually show less boost pressure (due to less restriction by everything beyond the intake)which can yield more power. Larger valves should yield more power in your application at similar boost levels.

I will have to disagree with that statement.

Quality headwork often adds 10 percent or more power while dropping boost.

I am sure porting the head on our cars will help with more power and lower boost a little but not as much in general as other motors.

I just haven't seen any dyno graphs showing proof of moderate gains at the same boost level. If any one has one I really like to see it.

If anything, go with the gasket. Our cars run around 11:1 ratio stock. With the gasket it will drop you to around 9:1.

Ive seen people add 45+ WHP with same boost, with a ported head, I think you are mis informed.

Even so, good luck adding around 50whp for 1400 or so.
