AFs2k's "Round 2" (update post #38, 7/21/15)
So, this will be the first time I've posted pics of my second s2k. As a few of you know I lost my first s2k, an '05 berlina s2k to an F5 tornado on May 20 2013.
You can read about that here if you care to:

I spent a ton of money on the car during the build phase. BRAND NEW EVERYTHING... engine, head, turbo kit, building the engine, suspension, you name it... down to the fender liners and all the "bitch clips." Only got to drive it 100.6 miles. Needless to say I was really depressed to see my "end game" if you will, destroyed. I knew I had to have another though... the bond between man and machine was real.
Enough about that though, on to the new girl. I found this car literally days after the tornado. It was up in Michigan. Once I read the sale ad, I knew this one was ment for me. It's an '05, and at the time of the ad, it had just around 8800 miles. Yes, 8-8-0-0 miles. Basically brand new! I flew up right away after putting a deposit down. The car was pristine; owned by an older gentleman who owned a few local businesses.
I got all the paperwork and window sticker, the extra keys, the soft car cover (more on this later*), the soft top cover, new mats, brand new tires... I paid a shiney penny for it, but to be honest, I got it for less than I see some of the best cars going for on the forums here.
I drove from MI to OK and it was a blast. I had to stop at a rest stop to take a nap though. I was still tired from all the stress and then the flight and driving all night. *I slept in the car basically hugging the car cover resting my head on it. No kidding, I slept well.
By the time I made it home, I already had plans of what I was going to do. Everything I'd done to the black car all over again. I know its almost against a religion to mod this level of an s2k, but .
Our lives are pretty much back to normal now. We've got a nice new house, I have another s2k and another subaru wagon (lgt this time), we even have a little boy now!
Anyways, on to the sub-par cell phone pics.
At the rental house we stayed at until our house was built:
This was right before I started the new build at our new house. I had a few things here and there done to it. I was also making the garage my own.
Here's the new bay. It's got my built 100.6miles motor in there, but everything else is new. Car has right at 11k miles now.
I have to finsih up a few things here and there, and get my new vented hood painted, but you get the idea.
I will be posting better pictures as time goes on of course.
And, sorry for the long windedness.

I remember feeling heartbroken for you when you lost your home and your car. As someone that's lost a home and lots of personal affects to a hurricane, I know how awful it is to have to rebuild. It's really awesome to see you back in another S2000, and it's absolutely beautiful. Well done, sir.

you know what they say. if you are going to rebuilt and redo, do it better and greater! you followed that for all, your house, your car, and your family (congrats on the boy!)

wow, just read your other thread. that's some story! too bad about your house, s2k, and belongings, but glad you and your wife weren't more seriously injured. looks like you've bounced back well though. like what you've done to your NFR, esp under the hood. it looks immaculate. what are the specs on your CE-28Ns and tires?
