Default BYS spoiler + 3rd brake light

I recently got me a BYS spoiler and don't wanna drive around without my 3rd brake light so I hunted around online and pulled the trigger on this:

It is an LED stip from Radiantz.com. They make custom LEDs mainly for motorcycle applications but I thought this one would suit my needs. It is 100 mini LEDs in a 12" length so I was hoping it would be bright enough. The actual tube is 20" long so you can cut it shorter if you want. Boy am I glad I bought this. I couldn't be happier. It is BRIGHT! I think I am going to mount it on the top of the windscreen between the roll hoops. I'm gonna install it probably this weekend but here is a short vid just to give you an idea of the brightness.

In the vid you'll hear a clicking noise but that is NOT the LEDs. It is my camera. I'm not sure why....maybe the lens adjusting or something. Oh well, here's the vid:

I'm gonna get a few more vids later today. I'll get some with the soft top up, hardtop on, and I'll get some with the car outside of the garage too. It came out pretty good I thought. The only concern I have is how bright it will be with the hardtop on cuz my read window is lightly tinted at 40%. I'll add the new vids later tonight hopefully.

Outside, top down:

Outside, top down sun facing other way:

Outside, softtop up no tint:

Outside, hardtop on through 40% tint:

Inside garage, door down....to help simulate night time:

That's pretty cool, but you have to remember if it's that bright like in your video, it's going to be VERY bright inside the car.

Imagine that thing lighting up INSIDE your cabin when it's dark out. I think it may be a distraction.

Nice. Keep us posted. I bought a BYS spoiler a year ago and haven't put it on due to the 3rd brake light. Nice solution.

I've been looking into the Audi TT conv 3rd brake light (2001-2005). A little expensive for my taste at $105 for the assembly.

I thought about that but it will be facing rearward and no light projects forward.
