I wonder if these will also have less theft appeal.

I doubt it, especially being red. But really people with integra's and civics can use these in their chassis too so it really would probably be worse.

I am assuming you cannot open the center compartment with the seats reclined, it does not appear so.

yes you can! It rubs the bolsters but does not keep it from opening.

Not the best pic but you can see it if you look close that you have the clearance for the glove box..

Hrm, I'd wear my seats out pretty fast. I'm in that thing multiple times a day every time I am in the car so it would drive me insane not being able to just throw it back to close it. Would there be any leeway to per-say slot the holes of the seat mounting bracket to move each one 1/4" or so away from the center? While I'm here asking, how is the legroom? I have issues Heel-Toeing in stock seats as I am 6'4" with long legs, I'd love a seat that sat lower than the stock seats but also needs to go as far back as possible. Very interested in adding these to my AP2.

There is no room whatsover to move the seat from left to right. You will have to remove the Recaro adjuster knob and replace with the thin knob they offer. The beauty of these seats is that they have the lever on the sides so they fold forward. So if you had to you could fold the seat forward to open the box. As far as leg room, it is better than stock and slightly lower.
