And a 996 Turbo. Very nice.

Turbo is gone. Sold it and bought an 08 GPW S2k and gave it to my son when he came home from fighting in Afgahnastan. With the leftovers, I now have a Golf R.

Anyone do the winch or improved on the old threads? Winch sources? strapping that doesn't compress the top's weatherstip?

Same setup as you OP...thanks for the idea to store my spare trunk!!

I rest my hardtop the other way though (rotated 180 degrees so it doesn't rest on the weather strip). Also placed more padding all around.

finally got around to making a hardtop stand, will also be hanging it like the first post eventually
