Help... Mugen or Amuse...?!
I'm thinking of ordering either the amuse header/exhaust combo or the Mugen combo in the next week or so. :D
Problem is I can't decide which one I want. I've done some searches and found some pics but not that many and not always very good angles. I'd also like the opportunity to chat with some owners. Post your pics and opinions of both, preferably for the 04/05 model S. |
im running an amuse r1 ex man and r1 titan single.. its def very nice in quality and the weight saving is incredible.. performance gain was only noticable at midrange none up top.. my dyno plot was about 2whp gain up top but i will give you more info when i get a vafc and tuned..

the amuse exhaust manifold is very identical to Mugen in design, so I assume they provide pretty much the same gain. The amuse one is slightly lighter while the Mugen one comes with a heatshield.
amuse exhaust is much louder than Mugen, I cannot comment on the performance since I never had the Mugen exhaust on my car. Stu has tried both exhaust systems, I will get him to reply this. :) |

Razor, toda does not make an exhaust and I like staying with one company all the way through... besides although Toda makes some awesome products, if somthing should go wrong you're pretty much shit out of luck.
Xplosiv, is the Amuse really that much louder than the Mugen? In sound bytes they pretty much sound the same. Does anyone know how much lighter the Amuse header is than the Mugen? |
