Help needed...

Maybe that's the wrong section to post this, but I really need your help:

I'm searching for a set of larger rear drilled rotors (I prefer Brembo) for my S, like the ones included in the Comptech Brake Kit (they're 12.7", I think) but dunno nothing about sizes, bolt pattern, application...

So, could you tell me what kind of rear rotors can I buy to fit my S?

Thanks!

This is definitely the wrong section to ask that question - should be in S2000 talk, but I'll tell you what I've been through lately :banghead:

Drilled rotors have become more of a "fashion" than a "performance" thing because most drilled rotors crack. Today's performance rotors are coming slotted with no drilling - if you want the drilled look, then get a dimpled rotor. You're going to find real fast that it is difficult to find decent drilled rotors unless you look at Powerslot or maybe Brakezone. If you check with Tirerack, you're limited to EBC that are gold finished or Brembos (but I don't think they offer the rears).

I'm currently needing rear rotors myself. My car came with slotted and drilled rotors and then I upgraded the fronts with a Wilwood system and opted for slotted and drilled to keep my rotors looking the same. Now that I need new rears (because most shops can't refinish a drilled rotor or the price is such that you might as well replace them) I've been finding out all this stuff :banghead:

There's a ton more to my story, but I'm going to leave it at that. The moral of the story is: if you want to spend Brembo money then buy them and be ready for the extra costs of the drilled rotors down the road - if you do not want to put up with that, then go slotted.

I think I've put enough brake names in this thread to get to some places that might be able to offer what you're looking for.........I'm sure Ludedude will post a link to something in the S2Ki Marketplace.

I'm looking for those rears, but dunno if the stock calipers does fit. And dunno where to find them... I won't buy the whole kit :(

It says that it relocates your stock caliper. If you call Comptech or any authorized dealer they might be able to sell you just the rear rotors and relocation kit.

They don't always give the best advice (just depends on who you speak to), but when you know what you want Comptech service is one of the best for the S2000
