This is very interesting. I see most of your guys' pictures aren't too off from original positions. During my valve adjustment today I noticed mine are WICKED off. 177k miles on the engine. Previous owner replaced the timing chain at 90k.

Pics:

I think that's a little more than 3-4 degrees!!

Would this sprocket replenish my timing marks if they're even this far off??

Yes sir, this is why we invented this product. Unfortunately we are not doing a group buy for this product.

I would check to see if the chain was installed correctly first. That looks more off than usual. The chain could have been installed one tooth off.

Did you check to see how much your engine was off by any other methods besides just looking at the crank pulley??

Install advice on one of these? valve cover, rocker/cam assemblies, then remove the gear with everything in place? All I can find is full timing chain guides, not just a gear install with the engine intact.

Also, I see an adjustable gear is made now for only $40 more. Would this be worth it over the non adjustable one for precise timing mark tuning?

What would be a typical labor charge to install one of these? I'm more interested in fuel economy savings and longevity of the chain than the power benefits, that's just a bonus!

also, any chance for a package deal if purchased with a tct as well?

nice piece good thinking

but if the timing chain is replaced in the future you would have to go back to the factory gear until it stretches correct?
