Default J's Racing 70RR Headerback Exhaust Video

ok, there is now finally a video for the J's 70mm headerback exhaust. my friend and i made a quick film with some daily driving and wot runs. i was driving and he was filming. he was using the backside of his laptop to film so the angles are kinda off and once the video was uploaded to youtube, the sound got slightly distorted but it's still good IMO. he also added the dorky comments in there. i wish he hadn't filmed me because well yea, i dont like to be filmed or have pics taken of me but whatever we needed the clip. i hope this helps anyone who may want to buy this exhaust and wonders how it sounds.

yes it is very loud...the drone isn't quite as bad as the invidia but WOT and getting on the gas is actually louder than the invidia. i didn't notice any loss of low end torque, and definitely feel quite a bit extra up top. if i were to describe it i would say it sounds very throaty and raw. obviously with it having no cat it sounds more open and has a much different tone. also it has a smell to it with no converter...somewhat like gas and oil. anyways, on to the video!

sound really nice. thanks. almost suby-like in some RPM ranges. i wonder if this is a side effect of the 70mm piping.

listen to my custom and has that same burble at certain RPMS. wierd.

i wanted to vent both sides but i was afraid that if both sides were vented that water would mess up the battery on the header side. i know it's not as hot on that side but venting SOME heat is better than venting NO heat. the vents help a lot in the summer because it's very hot in the south and the car starts to bog even when driven properly...but not with the vents.

also i mounted the harnesses underneath the brackets.

yes the exhaust is VERY loud but i love it loud. it is my DD but i love every second of it...rev-matching sounds especially cool

yea it sounds pretty much the same. i think not having the cat makes it slightly burbly at certain RPM's...especially on 00's and 01's as they're ECU's are more rich from the factory. i think it'll still sound a bit burbly even when i get a tune though, just because it's a bigger piping and there isn't a catalytic converter.

your exhaust is what i based the general sound of what the J's would sound like...which is why i bought it. so thanks to you as well.

no problem. i patterned mine after the AMUSE R1000. i honestly thought that the 70rr would be a lil quieter than that? sounds wicked reguardless.
