Default Money pit

My first time posting pics of my S. I traded in my 93 MR2 for a MY01 S2000 back in February. The car had been ragged on, bad tires, bootleg looking intake, jacked up sound system that has wires hanging everywhere and only one speaker worked, on top of that it had a bad driveshaft and a bad Idle air control valve with messed up vacuum lines.

The first thing i did was a tune up, got a stock intake and set of AP2 wheels. Then I fixed the driveshaft, vacuum lines, IACV, and put the stock system back. The car had typical bolt on mods so i put the car back to stock then i started from there. I dont like sporting other people's mods. The car had HKS hi power on it before and i sold it for a stock exhaust then i ended up with the T1R. Long story short here are the pics. Enjoy. All comments welcome.

Personally I would have stuck with the AP2s over the Wedsports but still looks good.

it was shakey when i tried to take off in 1st gear so i tried to roll it off 2nd gear and it wouldnt go anywhere unless i stay on the clutch a lot. we put it on the lift with someone in the car shifting, you could see the driveshaft went nuts when you put the clutch in. i had no idea how it happened. replaced it under warranty and it's fine now.

nice car, i like your wheels a lot.

and sorry to semi-hi-jack your thread, but i actually have a similar problem, im wondering if it could be my driveshaft too..... i feel a wierd vibration when i accelerate but its only at certain RPMs and it goes away after i pass that RPM range. i know its gotta be something in the drivetrain so maybe thats it.

would you happen to know how much do new drivetrains cost if i cant get it replaced under warranty? im not sure if my car is still under its extended warranty or not.

thanks!
yes, my car did the same thing u described. it also made a little clunking noise when i put the clutch in. i think the driveshaft itself is something around $1,100. mine was underwarranty, i just had to pay for the diagnostics. good luck.
