They are hoping that sales of these lights will prompt in an alternative OEM style AP2 headlight with OEM projectors for a low cost as well in the future.

These look awesome and the price is great - they just made my xmas list.

If the headlights have a modern CCFL look, they would be awesome as well. Like:

Saki, They wanted to design something different. But didnt think they could make it look better than the original.
Since part prices are going up, they are trying to offer alternatives that look oem.

I know for sure they want to make the headlight turn signal/ parking full SMD LED as well.
I just know the most important part is they need to have OEM projectors.

WOW! just what I have been waiting for. The only thing holding me back is the 90 day warranty. I wish it was longer.

I have had bad experiences with aftermarket LED tails for other cars. For example, 1 or more LEDS going out(usually from bad soldering from the factory. Very rare that the actual diode burns out), water leaking in from bad seal etc. LED tails look very bad when even just 1 diode is dead. I'll give him a call and see if I can get an extended warranty somehow.

I am so glad though that 3rd party vendors are still making new stuff for the s2k

So to run these on an AP1, you'd just have to follow the AP2 taillight conversion DIY guides?

Those are pretty nice! There's actually someone I follow on IG that's making some led tails for the AP1. They're almost ready for production from what I've read.

You couldn't do this to AP1 tail lights?
I am not the one who makes them. But no, you cannot make this design layout on a Ap1 housing to fit the vehicles AP1 cutout.
It seems like the circuitry needed to power the light requires the specific light design and that's why you need the extra space in the light.

I can't see the picture anymore, I'd love to know more about LED tails for the AP1. Can you post more info or PM me?
