^ That looks like fantastic work. I'd like to see pics of it installed.
Not the greatest pics (from my cell phone) but you get the idea. I've also still been meaning to clean up the back of it as well as it's a little wavy. There's still full access to the rear USB port for updating and the power wires are relatively hidden. The speaker is also hidden behind one of the center vents and is still completely audible while driving.

I got the overall idea from aphex4000 on here. He posted a few installed pictures on here of similar projects, and was really helpful with any questions I had about the GPS installation.

That looks great! I'm thinking of doing that with an iPod touch!

This isn't too extreme, but I did this years ago. I was displeased with the led setups that I had found. I wanted something that projected an even amount of light and this is what I came up with.

Bingo. I originally tried textured paint that looked great but kept getting marred and scratched so I got fed up with it. The textured vinyl wrap looks similar to the factory black finish in 06+ cars, and I actually ended up wrapping my center console door and switch cover to match.

You can get a bunch of different textures/colors on ebay for $10-15. I think mine is brushed metal or gunmetal or something like that.
