I spoke to the guys at Stuttgart and they were saying that they were totally underpowered and overmatched for the GT500 class. JGTC asked a bunch of American race teams to come out to round out the numbers but they were the only ones that showed up for the race.

They said that they were running around 420whp and 452 ft/lbs and were anywhere between 10 and 12 seconds slower on the track per lap.

All I can tell you is that they were a really cool bunch of guys.

Did anyone else that went to JGTC get to do the lap sessions with the cars? I got to do it on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday I rode in the Maserati and on Sunday I rode in the Axis 350 Z. It was a blast anyone that didnt get to do that really missed out! It was also nice seein the S2000's in the infield parking. Hope everyone had as much fun as I did.

Well I think that's a little unfair. The Stuttgart team was a guest competitor and his car was no where near as prepped up as the JGTC cars. He doesn't have a sequential shifter for example. But, it just shows you how fricken fast the JGTC cars are...man what a sight. So glad that I went, I hope they do it the same way next year.

Hey guys thanks for the comments about my pictures. I used my Canon Digital Rebel with a 28-135mm lens and this was my first attempt to take action shots. I was very jealous of all the other Canon 20D and 1D owners with huge zoom lenses!

Most of my pictures taken at night came out horrible and weren't able to be saved by photoshop. I'm glad you guys enjoy the pics!

Great pics!

I was there for the weekend and had a blast!

The nighttime racing looked especially cool considering almost all the GT-500 cars are running super bright HID's
