It's a ball python. I had one growing up. They like the heat of the engine, so when the car is a little warm, they crawl in the engine bay and hang out.

that still doesn't answer what a ball python is doing in Missouri. Unless it was someone's pet.. are they native to southern Missouri at all or am I just retarded about animals natural habitats.
