Volks CE28SLs with J's/Spoon wide body

It's been about a month since this phase was completed. Unfortunately, no DSLR quality pictures for now. Hopefully, at some point.

Wow that looks great! I love the molded pieces on the Spoon bumper to the Js fender.

What spec did you get? 18x9.5 +22 / 18x10.5 +22 ?

Wow, pretty damn good eye. That's correct. The tires are 265/35 / 285/35. Thanks

Looking aggressive. Interesting trunk lip... what brand/type? Looks clean and complements the wing.

Thanks man.

It's an amazon generic trunk spoiler.

I looked around for a while for a spoiler that would fit the Mugen base mounts. My only other option at the time was/is the ASM spoiler but that eliminates the 3rd brake light. This comes in a roll. It's very thick but malleable enough to cut to form. Has it's own end caps to finish of the edges. Using the double-sided 3M tape with the 3M adhesive enhancer makes is ridiculously solid. So much so that to take it off, you have to heat it up for fear of taking the paint with it.

Are those authentic J's/Spoon/Mugen parts?

Not at all.

There's a way to spot some of it. The Mugen SS wing only comes with carbon fiber sides and a fiberglass middle. The SEIBON version is CF all around. The genuine Mugen hard top is double sided (interior and exterior laid with CF) but the Forbidden USA ones are with as well with 2x2 twill weave. As far as the front bumper and J's fenders, it'd be a little harder to confirm authenticity without looking at the inside lining.

I'll usually go replica if the company has a good autoclave process and has slight variations to the parts that I would prefer over genuine aftermarket BUT, I never go replica on safety sensitive parts like wheels, seats, harnesses, etc.

Not how I would put together my S, but the craftsmanship is great. All the body lines are straight, paint and cf looks wet. beautifully put together, well done!

Thanks! Yeah I definitely went with an eclectic approach and hoared myself out to different manufacturer styles but I'm glad it came out well.
