Default AP1 center console plastic refurbishment

The gray ring around the shifter on my center console had spots when I got the car, and more recently I used a cleaner that bled color out of the cupholder door, so it could use some ninja-level help. Does anyone have suggestions how to correct the colors and get rid of the stains? The part's about $200 new; not worth it for me at the moment.

Hm, I had considered paint but forgot about wrap. Not sure about the CF, but I think approximating the factory colors in a matte wrap might do the trick...

I like that idea; I feel like I'm more likely to get a nice-looking result with dip. Seems controversial on The Internet to dip interior parts, but I see a lot of success stories.

I think we have a winner with this stuff. Thanks!

I would give the surface a light sand and then paint it.
