Ap1 headrest plastic cover

On the back side of the ap1 headrest (02 and 03) there is a dark silver plastic trim piece that surrounds the mesh area. How hard is it to remove and replace that trim if it gets buggered up.

Just grab it by the edges and pull it off. It is only held on by clips. I have a tan interior but the OEM covers were silver-ish. I painted them a like tan and replaced them. It's that easy.

Thanks. Are the clips likely to break when you pull it off?

It appears that replacement clips and the trim piece itself are still available from Honda if anything should go wrong.

I just checked the shop manual. There are 4 clips per side. The clips are about $3.50 apiece. Hecash - should I order them or will I be able to reuse the old ones?

I might come back at some point if I can get my hands on the headrest speakers.

Little bit of surface rust made getting the clips off a little harder than I expected. Made me question how to get them off. I used a panel popper tool to help me locate them and apply pressure where needed.
