I just snagged me up a clean set of 08-09 seats all red. It came complete with sensors and all. How common are these opposed to other seats besides the cr which i know are rarest in terms of in the used market. Would like to know if i am going to keep and store them away or prob sell in the near future

For the US market, fewer 08-09 red seats were made then the CR seats. Even the 06 blue seats found in the 06 suzuka blue are rarer than the CR seats.

I'm unaware of any differences in 2006 and later seats other than the CR version. What's different in '08-'09 and '06-'07? Color notwithstanding.

For one the seatbacks are taller.

The '08-'09 seatbacks are taller than the '06-'07? Or taller than the earlier seats with the helmet hole? Or both. Even looking at cars side by side I can't tell. The '08-'09 OEM seat covers do have different part numbers (can't easily find the seat part numbers). And I've never paid any attention to how the stitching is on any of them.

Merely curious.

The headrest portion is about 2" taller and the leather is different.

06-07 seats came in black, blue, red and black. The leather was not as good as the 08-09. You can see how it dried out quicker if not maintained properly. The 08-09 came in black with red stitching and all red with black on the back of the seat. As for being taller don’t know the answer to that being I never put them side to side. I wanted to know the demand for the seats in the used market. I know the cr seats were more common just would assume less people would part out a cr as opposed to parting out a basic 08-09.

The 08+ seat backs are definitely taller and not as common. I have the 08 seats and have driven a number of s2000s with the shorter 06-07 seatbacks.
