Lowering my seat

I have to lower my seat as soon as possible. I came to realize that if I did, it would greatly enhance the pleasure of this car.

I know there was a company that many on this forum were waiting for production from last year that I believe never came to fruition, or did it? This would have to flawlessly work for my AP2. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks guys/gals.

THmotorsports talked about it for months, but nothing ever seemed to come of it..

I tried pming them a while back about it and never got a response. BackYardSpecial also makes a lowered seat rail, but they're expensive (~$330) and take months to arrive. Member Mastermind NA on here can get those, but won't be in until the end of August.

If that's my only option then I shall order them and wait. This would work in the AP2 '07 no problem?

I've heard mixed things about this.. I have an 06, and I've heard from 06+ there is a hall effect sensor on the seat to measure how far forward/aft the seat is for the dual stage airbag. I don't think there's a way to mount this sensor on the BYS seat rails, but I believe they still bolt up and you can zip tie the sensor to the rails. You need to be careful with this though, as the airbag will now blow with full force regardless of seating position (although if you're tall enough to need the lower rails this is most likely not an issue as you'll be seated far back anyways.)

Hopefully someone else can confirm this.
