AP2 console install

AP2 console install
Is there a thread or "how to" section on converting your ap1 console with an ap2. Same with the radio cover? Where is the best place to get the consoles? How long does it typically take? What tools are needed? Obviously a newbie...

The consoles are a direct swap. They just pop off, nothing holding them down except for clips. Start at the arm rest and start pulling on it with a little force, and it will pop up, and then just work your way up until it is completely off. Then unplug the roof switch and hazard light and it will completely come out. Then just plug in the ap2 console (the hazard light button is smaller on the ap2 console, so make sure if you get one it has that) so yes just plug those 2 back in, and start in the opposite direction you installed. Push the front end in, and then start pushing it down and it will pop into place.
Also if you just search "how to replace radio door" there are tons of threads with answers. The radio door with the vent trim all pops out as 1. Just open the radio door, and pull strait outwards on it with some force also. There is nothing holding this in but clips just like the console. It will all pop out. Then if you want to replace the actual radio door in the trim, just do that search I told you and you will find a lot of answers.

The only difference is that the hazard button is smaller on the ap2 console, and you will have to have the button with it to make it work with the console. The connectors are the same though. I just got an ap2 console with the hazard button and roof switch on it still, plugged in, and popped right into my ap1 with no problems and everything worked fine.
Also what buttons are you talking about?..
