Radio Door and Euro Mats

I think I paid around $230ish for mine but it may have been a bit more. They work fantastic but there’s a bit of install that has to be done. Some will say that there is no place in an AP1 to place the clip in shims on the passenger side. I don’t know how true that is for 2000-2001 but it’s indeed there on a 2002. Best thing to do is place the mat with the holders attached. Take an awl and gently poke around a little in the hole of the bracket until you feel a depression. It’s hard to find unless you do so. Placing it like this puts you right in the general area. Cut a slit with a razor or exacto knife just large enough TO THE SIDE of the depression in the carpet to fit it in, slip the shim in and then press down. It snaps into place. Then you’re all set. The drivers side already has slits and you can work the original holder out by lifting the carpet up and then slip in the new. You won’t need to put the plastic screw shims in. Just use the existing. It all makes sense once you get to the job. Took maybe an hour. It’s not difficult IMO.

And I purchased two sets. I purchased the second after installing the first just in case the first wears out down the road. They seem very well made though. If I ever sell the car and they’re in great shape, I could always unload them here. But if I sold it, I’d probably just buy another and I’d put them in that car. Worth it

Nice! If only they came with a heel pad.

For what it worth - my 02 does not have the holes in the floor on the passenger side. It appears some 02 cars have the holes, some don't. PIA. I thought about drilling but decided against it. The mat is just sitting in there on the passenger side. It works fine. They are very good mats. They wear like iron. I like the fact that they cover the frame rail hump which tends to get a lot of wear if its not protected. These mats eliminate that problem, or nearly so.
