Red seat belts installed
While installing new cloth top and frame, I decided to get my seatbelts done. I've been wanting them a long time and wanted them to match my red carpet and mats! Very happy with the look!

I'm not affiliated with them in any way shape or form. They were the cheapest I could find to do this service. |
That seems to be all the rage these days on new cars, nice work adding that touch to your S2000, I like it, perks up the otherwise dull interior up a notch.

I think they look great!
Thanks Guys! I've been wanting to put the red belts in for a very long time. Replacing the top gave me a perfect opportunity to replace the belts as well. |
Great idea, I like the look.

I contacted Safety restore to have them send me samples. After reviewing the samples and deciding on a color, I ordered their rewebbing service. Removed seatbelt assemblies, shipped to them with invoice of rewebbing service. Had them back a little over a week later.

Pretty smart looking and not a bad price.

Ok, this is really cool! I have the black/red interior. This will really kick it up a notch. Its a dd, so belts get dirty with time and use. Fresh belts will be nice.
I'll wait until its time for the top. Maybe buy a set of used belts so I can send in ahead of time, so no downtime when doing top. |

You can actually access these quite simply without removing the top at all. They are tucked right behind the roll hoops. You have to remove the roll hoops to access the bolts to remove the seatbelts. You can put the top down and access all you need from there. Remove seats, remove plastic panels that allow you to get to the roll hoops, remove trunk trim to allow access to back of inner panels, remove roll hoops, seat belts completely accessible. NOTE: WHEN I SAY ROLL HOOPS, THIS IS THE METAL ROLL BAR HOOP AND THAT PLASTIC THAT SURROUNDS IT! THERE IS NO REASON TO ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE PLASTIC FROM THE ROLL HOOPS! LEAVE THE PLASTIC ALONE! |
This is on my to do list too.

Good to know, thx!

They have a Website you can purchase them from. I highly recommend emailing them first so they can send you samples. Colors can be different between the real thing and whatever display you may be looking at.

I am in love with these seatbelts and for how cheap it is for such a tasteful mod, it has to be done. 80$ a belt might seem like alot, but its something you use every time you drive and makes it that much more unique. i want the black with yellow, to go with yellow CR stitching doors. damn.

Fast forward 4 years, price is now $99.97 per belt and the best news......the 25% off code (restore25) still works!
Does anyone know for sure if belts from any year s2k will work in my '00? I'd like to pick up extra belts to do this and leave my oem belts alone. |
LHT said there are two different belts; up to 05 uses 1 style and past uses a different. See video above.
