OEM Hardtop - noise

Shin-itsu sold by Honda is the recommended product so I would use that.
You might try a little White lube in it's place but both of these products are petroleum based so using either one or any product simular, use only the smallest amount possible to achieve your goal.
I bought some Shin- itsu prior to my HT purchase then decided not to use it before actually needing it.
Silicon Spray that is designed for use on rubber may be the safer alternative although I have no clue how well this stuff works at preventing squeeks but it would seem that it should work. Your call.

Here "seals" refers to the soft black rubber on the outside edges of the hard top where it mates to the windshield, body, and around the windows.
Clickie ---> Squeaks and Rattling Latch Fix
I performed the fix, and tied down the latch hooks on each side of the lowered soft top with plastic cable ties; now my hard top is very quiet - even on the bumpiest roads.

I used silicone spray, but didn't want to get it all over the place. I sprayed it onto a cloth (away from the car!) and then rubbed the seals with the cloth. The hardtop stopped squeaking immediately - but that only lasted for a few days. I tried again, but this time I sprayed onto a disposable latex glove. The glove didn't absorb the silicone like the cloth did, so a lot more went on the seals. The hardtop has been squeak-free since then. I've only had the car a short while - dunno yet how often I'll have to do this.
