great mirrors have them on my car

Definitely interested in these, but would prefer not to tape them on. What modifications need to be made for these to replace the OEM mirrors?

I installed them on my car without tape. I took the mirror out of its housing, then dipped it in boiling water for 30 seconds to soften the glue, then took the old mirror off. Then used the same glue from the old mirror and put the new one on. It's pretty easy.

Sounds easy enough...thanks for the info!

depends, how slow and gentle you are. i used a hair dryer and slowly got out the stock mirrors without breaking them.

I have mine installed as a replacement as well. Was really easy. Just boiled the housing with oem mirror in it for a little bit until soft enough to remove the oem mirror. Then put it in the water again to soften it up to put in the new convex mirror. Just be careful putting in the new mirror as they can crack fairly easily. I had no issue with it breaking but seems as some have broken theirs when installing by pressing on it too hard.

Hey, I'm in MA too. Is it possible to meet up and have you install it?

Moddiction 11-29-2011 02:24 PM

Hey. Where in MA are you? Not sure if I would really want to install them in someone elses car as I don't want to risk damaging anything. I can walk you through it. It is very simply once you give it a shot. Just need to take your time removing and reinstalling the mirrors.
There are also some good write ups on here for installing them I found when I installed my set months ago.

In the Boston area. No problem, I'll figure it out.
