06+ passenger seat recline
So thanks to the 06+ S2000's lovely weight sensitive airbag system the passenger seat does not recline as much as the drivers seat. As a result this makes riding in the car very uncomfortable for my girlfriend. So much so she absoutely hates my seats and says Honda Accords have more comfortable seats.
After sitting in the seat and checking it out the recline is not fun. It forces you to sit up nearly straight. I like to recline a fair amount when i drive so this would drive me nuts and I totally understand why she hates them. I never noticed it because my 04 s2k's seats did not do this.
Summery: Passenger seat has a weight sensor built in which will turn on/off the airbag. This is a safety feature for those who need to put children in car seats in the passenger seat. I have no need for this what so ever and I'd just as soon ditch the stupid on off crap and have the airbag enabled at all times.
I have already removed the seat and taken a quick look to see if there is anyway to modify the release/locking mechanism so as to allow the seat to recline more. I couldnt see anything obvious which prevented more recline as it seems to be inside the side bracket.
My challange to the S2k community is to find a way to make the passenger seat recline more and perminatly enable the airbag for the passenger. (or perhaps be based on a on/off soley set by the passenger seatbelt switch)
I know the bolt pattern is different for the older s2k seats. But that doesnt completly prevent me from getting 05 and older seats. I'd just need a way to keep the airbag working. So I may be looking for trades for Black/Red AP2 seats 05 and older.

Yes its an 06 only thing. Its because if the seat reclines all the way it will rest against the roll hoops. Which may cause the weight of the passenger to not be read correctly since the headrest and back panel may be supporting the weight as well.

I always see people talk about this. My 07 passenger side reclines just as much as the driver's side. Weird.
