Mods to car only, not including increasing driver experience or doing maintenance I say:
1. Tires- more for performance aspect. The car is more enjoyable whenever in motion.
2. Good coilovers- The stock suspension great but it can be improved and aesthetically it improves. Good coilovers shouldnt feel like riding on bricks though.
3. Wheels- Same as above. Id say this is both an aesthetic and performance.
4. Test pipe- whether its paired with stock, aftermarket cat back or UK mod, a test pipe makes a HUGE difference.
5. Standalone or Flashpro- Theres nothing like getting some more mid range tq and hp to make driving around town or at the track more fun. It also makes better use of any engine modifications done in the future
6. Headunit. I had to think about this one and since its not performance related, Im surprised Im even putting it on a list of top 6 but if theres anything I use everyday and would not live without in a car, its a radio that I can stream music from my phone via bluetooth with. This was a tough decision and it narrowly beat out a hardtop.
Other than these things, always invest in quality maintenance and replacement parts. Its hard to beat OEM (unless you track heavy). I could go on but I tend to ramble.

I like my 07 Berlina stock, but for first mods:
- Tires (I'm like Nokian ZLine)
- UK Suspension
- Radio
- TCT (Billman)
- Aesthetics (Cell Phone Mount (Modifry Dash Mount with a ProClip mount), Fog/DRLs, CR radio door, multi color shift boot, CR door cards, etc.
