Default AEM Intake for 2006+ DBW s2000 AVAILABLE!

hey everyone...about 7 months ago AEM used my car to research and develop an intake specifically for the 2006+ s2000. they contacted me last week saying that it was finally in production. looking at their website..i do see a small difference in the DBW specific intake compared to the non-DBW intake. it looks like the filter inlet is placed toward the nose of the car instead of the wheel well..i will be taking my car to AEM to install in a few hours.

2006+DBW s2000 Intake

Non DBW s2000 Intake

Installed:

overall..the power band is smoother and the motor doesnt feel like its struggling at the highend. i like how the filter is directly in the front grill. i may fab a splash guard eventually. was it worth it? YES!

Looks like the filter ends up right behind the center grill of the ap2 bumper. Then you gotta make 2 holes? One to get it in the wheel well and another to get it out of the wheel well and into the center section behind the center grill. I'd like to see this on an S with the front bumper off to see how the intake wraps around the frontal area. Is this intake carb approved?

Are they going to test fit the final product in your car?
