Default Alignment lock nut needed

Idiots at alignment shop torched all the plastic out of alignment lock nut. Nut wasn't frozen, and turns out neither was the alignment adjustment. I think the kid literally couldn't figure out how to adjust it and assumed frozen, and didn't think to remove nut first.

Nut has lost its locking ability. Can't just use loctite, as next alignment it'll be vulnerable to coming loose again. I can make due with a jam nut or something for now, but want it like its supposed to be.

Nut no longer available from Honda. Oddly, this part only ever used on S2000.

A simple 12mm locknut.

90362-S2A-000

Hoping someone has a used one laying around. Its the same locknut for all lower control arm mounts front or rear or toe arm (everywhere there is an alignment locknut).

Or maybe someone knows a similar part used on other Honda's, that has same diameter and thread, I can just substitute that.

MAN I'd be mad if someone used a torch on my car for literally any reason without asking me first.

I always tell alignment shops, "no torches, no WD40. If anything is stuck, tell me and I'll fix it and come back"

That being said, I'm sure eBay has used alignment adjusters you can buy.

I wouldn't worry about it. But...not a bad idea to fix it.

A nylon locking nut is a one-time-use fastener. So I'm guessing yours lost its locking force a long time ago anyway.

Look up that part number on eBay. A lot comes up.

Or try a locknut from an Acura. 04-14 TL or 04-14 TSX . I'm 99.9% sure I've interchanged S2000 nuts with my TSX and TL ones.

Car Analogy, if I had an extra I'd send it to you.

However, I just searched the part number and it shows in stock at a lot of online Honda dealership sites: https://www.hondacarpartsdirect.com/...mm-90362s2a000

Thx! The first two online shops said out of stock discontinued, so I just gave up. Usually in case like this other places will let you place order, then cancel it when they realize it can't be ordered (a lot of these places don't have accurate inventory listed online). But worth a shot!

Ones I found on eBay were $25. For a single nut.

I'll try the tlx ones locally. Don't wanna pay $15 to ship a nut.

You can buy a lot of different Locking nuts online... Regular or fine thread. Nylon or metall lock. Regular or long. Grade 10. Zinc plated
So, why bother to buy a Honda Part?

1. Because I don't know the thread pitch, and finding out pitch means jacking and getting underneath the car, and I'm lazy.

2. The Honda parts have this nice, wide base, like a built in thick washer.

3. The locknut would probably need a different size socket, and alignment guy would have to keep changing tools, and its hard enough to get them to do it right without ticking them off.

4. JDM yo!

Its not a standard lock nut. Its recessed back to clear the bolt's square portion.

I think I have found those available at a few places online. Are these nuts going to go south even without a blowtorch application? If they are around should I get four of them?
