Default Anyone every changed the tips on a Q300 exhaust?

I installed a new Q300 the other day. After having it for a while I really do not like the tips. They're alot larger than I thought they'd be. The look of the exhaust screams "aftermarket"
I'm starting to think of dropping the exhaust, painting it black and maybe changing the tips. I was thinking of cuting off the tips and either:
- welding on new stainless steel tips
or
- welding on a short straight piece of stainless pipe and mounting the OEM tips.
Any thoughts?

whatever you decide to do, keep us updated. I've been thinking about doing the same thing, using the OEM tip on the q300.

i remember someone mentioning it before that they welded the OEM ap2 tips on the q3000. Its somewhere either in the exhaust thread or the poll thread (q300 vs. Fujitsubo Legalis R).
I am sure it will look great so its definitely worth a try

I would trade my q300 stainless steel mufflers for some q300 TI mufflers. I just like the Ti look better.

If they were oval like stock would look sweet. Do look too big and round. Think I have seen someone weld the oem ap2 tips on and looked much much better.

Here you go everyone. I welded a stainless pipe and bolted the AP2 tips. I took this route just incase I sell it and the new buyer wants to run the AP1 tips.

Old pic, different angle
