Default AP2 + FIPK - did you drill a hole for the IAT sensor or repurpose the...

..hole they instruct you to block?

Thinking drilling is proper but hate to drill a new intake. Wondering what others have done.

I repurposed the hole and just jammed it in. Works fine.

I also grabbed a used one that already had a hole. And blocked off the nipple. Also works fine.

I appreciate the post but I was hoping my opinion would be swayed one way or another lol

i drilled the hole in approximately the same location as stock...that was BEFORE i read the instructions to drill on the front side of the intake arm. I thought about repurposing the AP1 air pump thingy on the arm- using a 3/4" sealed rubber cap, then drilling it out for a better seal- but thought that the air intake sensor shouldn't be so close to the PCV hose. My thinking was that the oil vapour would gum up the sensor somehow- hence why I put it 4 inches forward in the pipe.

Then I fashioned up an aluminum bracket to hold the wires. I'll post a photo tomorrow.

I repurposed the existing hole with a dremel. Worked great.
