Battery - Pure OEM substitution.

I've read a lot of threads on which racing battery to buy and what not, but my only concern is I need an OEM replacement that has equal or better cranking capacity.

What is the best OEM replacement that is better but not necessarily race/weight focused? Or is OEM good enough?

I have no mods on the car.

I have always had good luck with Autozone's yellow top duralast batteries. Also AAA makes some decent ones but they are alittle more expensive.

Given that mine only made it 3 years, I'd say no. YMMV, of course.

Most topics are like that. People can only really offer anecdotal evidence. I also went with Autozone but I really didn't have a choice at the time as I was ~2,000 miles away from home with a dead battery and Autozone was the closest place to get a replacement.

You can always order one from Honda, but a good one with a warranty from Autozone or Advanced should be more than enough.

Anyone have any insight on Interstate? They have always served me well on other cars.

Interstate is one of the larger manufacturers of batteries. Chances are whatever you buy will be from Johnson or Interstate.

I personally buy the Kirkland from Costco. Warranty is outstanding, price is much cheaper, and cranks my car just like any other battery.
